Sleep Paralysis
Many of us will have experienced Sleep Paralysis during our lives, however a small percentage of the population suffer with Terrifying Sleep Paralysis (TSP).
Sleep Paralysis occurs when the brain wakes from REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep but the body’s muscles appear to stay in REM sleep’s physiological state (paralysed). It may feel as if the mind has awoken but the body remains asleep.
Occasional Sleep Paralysis is not considered a problem, however if the person has TSP on a regular basis, then a short course of medication containing Serotonin might prove effective.
